Republican Committee of Allegheny County Response to Emily Skopov Announcement She Intends to Run Against Speaker Mike Turzai Again
Former TV script writer and political hobbyist Emily Skopov comes from the world of Hollywood. That explains her fondness for sequels.
Mike has been unanimously elected as Speaker for three straight terms. He has fought off Wolf’s tax increases and focused on growing the economy for private sector family sustaining jobs.
After a whopping 9-point loss to Speaker Turzai in 2018, Skopov is taking her left-coast politics into a new season, but with the same tired script. She’ll advocate for higher taxes, more state spending, and a social policy so out-of-step with the 28th District she’ll likely expand that margin by another 10 points.
